The basics
Scholarship opportunities and application tips
Visit the financial aid office in Building 14 where we post scholarship listings on an information bulletin board. In addition, the following sites make it simple to find a scholarship based on your goals, background, qualifications and need:
- Read the application carefully and follow all instructions.
- Type all application forms, letters, essays, questionnaires or other information.
- Proofread all materials to make sure there are no misspellings or errors.
- Make sure your contact information is up to date. If need be, create a clean email address such as firstname.lastname@gmail.com.
- Letters of recommendation (also known as a letter of reference) should come from teachers, counselors, coaches and supervisors. Letters of recommendation should never come from friends or family.
- Think of your essay as your interview. Your essay is what sets you apart from the other applicants.
- Make a copy of your completed application to keep for your records.
- Never pay for scholarship searches.
Here are a few other popular scholarship opportunities to check out. Note that these scholarships are not associated with TCC and will need to be applied to separately from Foundation scholarships.
